Ethic Situations

Independence House Fire, Three Found Dead

This story was an ethical dilemma because I know the girl that was killed. She went to Simon Kenton High School and graduated the same year that I did. She was in my senior English class and she spoke of her family problems often. It would be an ethical dilemma to publish or write about her family's problem.

I would have written the story. Even though I knew her family had problems, I would have asked neighbors and people that saw these problems first hand. Researching and then writing the story will help provide the facts that will lead to the truth about what happened in that house on Tuesday night.

"A Question for Sarah Palin"

Sarah Palin and her daughter's pregnancy is an ethical dilemma. It is a dilemma because Sarah Palin is running for Vice President. It raises the question of whether a candidate's private family life should be exposed to the public. It just so happens that Palin opposes sex education programs for young teens.

I would write the story because Sarah Palin is in a position to possibly be the Vice President of the USA. She would be the first woman vice president in office. She is in the public eye, which makes her family the same. It also applies to her views and plans for the country.
